Big Apple Burger

Two grilled half pound patties covered with double the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese then topped with four slices of bacon, red onion, lettuce, tomato and a creamy horseradish sauce

BIG APPLE BURGER
Applebee's Copycat Recipe

Serves 1

Burger:
1 pound of lean hamburger
2 slices Cheddar cheese
2 slices Monterey Jack cheese
4 slices of cook bacon
shredded lettuce
2 slices tomato
2-3 slices of red onion
1 extra large roll

Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon water
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ketchup
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon or dash garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon or dash onion powder

MAKE THE SAUCE
Mix all ingredients, flavors will enhance as it sits. Delicious with deep friend onions and other vegetables or deep fried meats such as shrimp.

FOR THE BURGER
Divide the meat into two large patties.  Season to taste and grill or fry until done.
Add two slices of cheese to each patty. (1 of each kind) Cover with a lid to help the cheese melt.

BUILD THE BURGER
Cover the top and the bottom of the bun with the sauce.
Starting at the bottom add:
lettuce
tomato
onion
2 patties
bacon
bun top
